This book was a remarkable piece in its genre as it gives an insight into the world of psychology and its developments as well as the bloody brilliant simplification of complex and abstract theories in an easy and fast-paced language。 This book is suitable for any age group, easy to follow and to grasp the concepts of。 Recommended :)

Don’t be scared thinking it will be a useless book with not much information when it first arrives as it quite literally is a “little book of psychology”。 This book is perfect for those first looking into psychology and debating whether they might want to study it。 It’s very well written and contains a lot of information about famous psychologists, their methods and theories and how some are still used now。 It also contains different experiments and how they turned out but my favourite part abou Don’t be scared thinking it will be a useless book with not much information when it first arrives as it quite literally is a “little book of psychology”。 This book is perfect for those first looking into psychology and debating whether they might want to study it。 It’s very well written and contains a lot of information about famous psychologists, their methods and theories and how some are still used now。 It also contains different experiments and how they turned out but my favourite part about the book is the back where they reference these psychologists and recommend their books。 I found a lot of amazing books from them which have helped me further。 I have no faults with this book。 If you’re someone already studying psychology or in the field this probably isn’t the book for you as you will know most, if not all, already but for someone like me who was debating changing degrees for psychology and wanted to dip their toes in first this was brilliant。 。。。more

Some good takeaways from this book however could have been more simplified。

Should have read this before Alevels?

A lovely little overview of the foundation of modern psychology。 Essentially covers the basics of what I learnt at A level and would highly recommend to anyone currently studying psychology at that level。 For others however, there isn't a great deal of depth (as is to be expected with a book of this nature) and understanding to take away from it unless these are new concepts to you。 Still a nice little refresher of these classic studies。 A lovely little overview of the foundation of modern psychology。 Essentially covers the basics of what I learnt at A level and would highly recommend to anyone currently studying psychology at that level。 For others however, there isn't a great deal of depth (as is to be expected with a book of this nature) and understanding to take away from it unless these are new concepts to you。 Still a nice little refresher of these classic studies。 。。。more

A general introduction to different psychological approaches, which is not something negative for a beginner。 Actually, I found the book clear about basics of theories, but for sure you will need to go deeper with additional researches to learn more about the topic。So, ideal for very beginners。

‘The Little Book Of Philosophy is a 2019 self-help book that discusses different approaches to psychology about our brains。 It includes many scholars like B。F。 Skinner and Sigmund Freud and theories discuss the human brain。 ‘The Little Book Of Psychology’ is a great book if you’re interested in your brain and what we have discovered about our brains so far。 The book surprisingly kept my interest。 I finished it in less than 2 hours。 I was surprised when I realised I was so close to finishing it。 ‘The Little Book Of Philosophy is a 2019 self-help book that discusses different approaches to psychology about our brains。 It includes many scholars like B。F。 Skinner and Sigmund Freud and theories discuss the human brain。 ‘The Little Book Of Psychology’ is a great book if you’re interested in your brain and what we have discovered about our brains so far。 The book surprisingly kept my interest。 I finished it in less than 2 hours。 I was surprised when I realised I was so close to finishing it。 The information isn’t written in the most scientific way possible to the point you wouldn’t understand。 It’s written quite plainly and explains everything in great detail, including graphs and diagrams。 There isn’t anything critical I could say about this book because it is educational and it does the job it was designed to do。 This book was very enjoyable and it earned 4 stars。 I haven’t given it 5 stars because it was exactly mind-blowing to me。 Probably because I kind of knew most of the things mentioned in the book because of my studies but it still was very good。 。。。more

I wanted to read a nonfiction book this year, and this was a good one to start with! It’s short and easy to understand, probably helps that I’m familiar with most of the material。 Defiantly something I’d recommend for people who are interested in psychology!

Emma Crawford

incredibly interesting, and a really useful tool in helping me discover my interests in psychology。 And it taught me a brilliant overview of some of the major psychology concepts

Joshua Huke

digestible but at times inaccurate Quick and easy read, provided enough of an overview to make some challenging concepts digestible。 Good for a student however not university。Some grammar issues as well some ideas behind concepts were described incorrectly (to make the more digestible)

Panda the Great

For a field like psychology, to touch upon the main themes without making the reader lose interest, it’s a big job and the author managed to perform it perfectly! Highly recommended to those even slightly inclined in this direction!

Andy Carter

This is a very short book, takes about a hour to read。 Nevertheless it provides an interesting introduction to the key areas and developments in what is, relatively, a very new area of study。 Besides looking at the usual suspects (Freud, Pavlov, Skinner etc) it discusses the problems that trying to have a pure scientific approach brings, the ethics of using humans in research and whether we actually have free will。

Lexi West

A great little book to introduce you into psychology。 Relates to a lot of the a level course。
